Cookies
- Cookies are small blocks of data, most often text files, that are stored on the device of the User and are needed to use an internet service. These files usually contain data such as the name of website, storage duration and an unique identifier.
- Cookies are used to:
- customize the content of Service's websites to User preferences and optimize service usage; in particular, cookie files allow to identify User's device and correctly display a personalized version of a website
- gather statistics that help to understand how Service Users use the Service, which helps to improve the website structure and content;
- keep the User session active (after logging in), which allows the User to use the Service without the need to enter login and password on each page reload.
- In most cases the software used to browse websites (web browser) by default enables the usage of cookie files in User's device. Users can change cookie settings at any time. Browser cookie settings can be configured in a way that will block automatic usage of cookies, or will notify the user each time a cookie is stored in User's web browser. Detailed information about cookie handling should be available in the software (web browser) settings.
- Service provider informs that limiting or disabling cookies in the browser may negatively influence or disable some functions of the services available on the website.
