What do I need in order to use this keyboard?
No prior knowledge is required. All the needed information is available on this website — how to configure the keyboard to your needs, how to change switches, etc.
Default layout: why after pressing both layer keys, then releasing one I am still on layer 3?
On default layout on layer 0 there are 2 keys to change layer:
Layer(1)- thumb cluster on left halfLayer(2)- thumb cluster on right half
When you e.g. press the left one first, you will switch to layer 1. The physical key that had
Layer(2) action on layer 0 will now have action Layer(3). When you press it, you will switch
to layer 3. Releasing the left key won’t change layer, because you are currently holding the key
Layer(3). You will stay on this layer as long as you hold that key, or until you switch layer
by pressing another key with Layer action.
The same applies when you change the order and first press the right key (Layer(2)).
